What are the property prices in Italy?
The prices vary a lot depending on the region and location. Small, older apartment can be bought from around 50 000 EUR in Calabria, and around 80-100 000 EUR in the rest of southern Italy. In Tuscany and Liguria prices start from 150-200 000 EUR. Rustic houses cost from 150 000 EUR in southern Italy, but it is not easy to get stone house in Tuscany for less than 300 000 EUR. Seaside villas in Tuscany and northern Italy could typically be bought for prices of 700 000 EUR +, while in Puglia a similar property would cost about 40% less. The most expensive seaside properties could be found in Forte dei Marmi, Monte Argentario, on the island of Capri and in other famous seaside resorts. It is important to get a realistic idea of a budget you need for your dream property to avoid future disappointments.
